Rhapsody: A musical Adventure(DS rom)

i hope this isn't a dupe thread, but i've browsed the forums the past two days and havent found anything about this problem. please read over everything i have to say before adding input.

i'm having issues with the aforementioned ROM, uploaded to romulation.

approx. 90 minutes into the game, just after the contest scene(where the main character and rival sing), both screens go black.
there's no way to skip over it, because it happens during a cutscene, and it happens every time i do the scene over.

i discovered it a couple of days ago, but i started a new game to see if there were any factors which triggered this happening, but i got the same results either way.

i also researched this on some other forums. i've found that it happened to a lot of people(some actually purchased the game and returned the cartridge 3 times before getting a working version), so i've deduced that A) there's a factor triggering the glitch or B) some cartridges work and others dont. the dump uploaded to this site is one of the ones which doesn't work, as far as i can tell.

for the record i'm playing with an m3 real but as i mentioned, this occurs in legitimate cartridges, too.
i don't think this is fixable so i'm just putting it out here for input, in case any of you know anything.

Ok well I also have a problem with Rhapsody. Running the latest os on my m3 real (In fact using both real as well as sakura), but when I run the game, the only sound I get at the start is similar to a muffled machine gun firing continuously. Aside from the sound though, everything works fine.. I have tried getting a fresh copy of the rom, as well as updating everything (it happened with my old files also). It isnt a corrupted rom though as it works on nocash perfectly fine. Anyone able to help?

 

Most likely not a bad ROM. Probably just a compatibility issue.

 

I have the same problem with after the contest. Does anybody know where I can download another ROM of the game to see if its just a compatibility issue or a faulty ROM?

I doubt it's a compatibility issue.

My rom crashes when I battle Duke in the Tower of Wisdom. I have R4DS and I've updated my firmware.
A lot of people are having problems with the game, this was apparently fixed with the next batch of cartridges made.

We just need another rom made from this new batch.

 

Like the real cartridge? Or the R4? Since the R4 or other flashcarts don't come with built-in firmware.
