From what I can gather, this site supports the use of download managers (which is a great plus) and also usually ensures that someone doesn't lose their points when a download breaks as they can start it again, but I'm just wondering how it would work in this case. Since I'm on 56k, I definitely need to use a manager to get things from the PSX section for example, since if phone rings, my connection is lost, etc, and I'm curious as to how it knows who is transferring it to be able to resume, ie does it follow IP address (not good, since mine changes every time I connect)? or should I get the download manager to provide my username and password for the site, or what? Thanks
To confirm and elaborate, the download links contains your username and your password hash in an encrypted form, when you submit it we decrypt it and check the username and password against what we have in our database. That is also the reason the page explicitly tells you not to share your download links, because it will be logged under your user then.
