Resuming download the next day

    I am trying to download Gran Turismo 2 Arcade disc using FlashGet, but my ISP limits me to 100 mb per day. What I end up doing is downloading close to my 100 mb, pausing, and then resuming. The next day, though, it won't resume. Using FlashGet, how do I resume the download the next day after it having been paused for 20 some odd hours? It seems that the link to the file moves, because whenever I start a new download it downloads fine, but the old one will not resume.

    Use downthem All, or use a download manager.

    flashget is a download manager... Seph would have to answer this one.

    The download links does not move as long as you're logged in with the same username, and you should always be logged in with the same user name has having multiple accounts is illegal according to our rules.

    Simply click pause and then start.

    That usually doesn't work. After pausing for several hours, it is unable to resume. I have yet to be able to download this iso on this network. Here is what the log says after trying to resume:

    flashget isn't sending the Range command properly.

    so what do i do to fix that? do i need to redownload flashget and install it again? or do i have some setting not set up properly?

    Do you have the latest version? Because it simply sends the starting range, not the ending range, and apparently Apache can't handle that.

    I finally got it to work (I almost put "figured it out," but I have no idea why this works). What I do is when it won't resume, I pause the download, right click and select "Browse Referrer". I then "Alt-Click" the link to start the download, select the same folder the original download was in, and it gives me a message saying "URL in download list", and voila, it resumes. Hopefully this will finally allow me to download these larger files on this ISP.

    We don't use referrer info at all so it shouldn't be that. o_O
