RE4 was pretty challenging and by the looks of the screenshots this game is almost like RE4, the chainsaw ganado is back! And besides this is one of the most anticipated games of the year 8)

I just watched a trailer and a gameplay demo. It's AWESOME.

It's much like RE4, the graphics are better, but the gameplay is much like copy paste. :p

Yes it is exactly alike. I was reading it in the game magazine. Apparently the original and quite senior game designer wasn't part of this project as he was doing something else. His 'second in command' took over and not confident with trying something new, he stuck to RE4's style

Not that anyone should mind, RE4 is probably my favorite game of all time.

Anyone who complains about the controls needs to play it's predecessors.

Re5 is not that good... I think r3 is the best in series-BUT i will buy Re5 in any case ,at any time. In fact ,Im playing demo right now with a friend.

I like RE1 and RE3 the best, plus which RE let you dodge attack like RE3?

anyway I dislike RE4 because it doesnt have any RE feels and Outbreak is bad, i rank RE4 below Outbreak.

I just downloaded RE5 demo and like RE4, it doesnt have RE feels, both RE4 and RE5 is just like House of the Dead rip off.

REX is the last good RE, every RE after it just sucks.

RE 1-3 is good but I think RE4 & 5 has taken a good turn in improvement of gameplay wise

    1) Those who complain about what nonsense has become of the story line about zombies being a cult do not know about the story. Without a doubt umbrella created a virus capable of mass destruction and it fell in to the hands of terrorists world wide

2)RE 4 & 5 allows you to dodge attacks way better than RE3. For RE3 it was a matter of luck where as 4 depends on your skills to press buttons to counter moves etc.

3)RE 4 & 5 has a better view compared to the previous RE's. The previous ones load scene by scene often leaving you unaware of sometimes zombies lurking in the next scene and the moment you go there you get bitten

4)RE4 & 5 proves to be much more of a challenge. Aside from the bosses in RE1-3, the zombies, brain suckers, etc felt pretty....bleh. Have you seen the trailer of RE5? The whole place is swarmed with zombies all wielding weapons having the ability to climb and so on. Ahh remember the good ol days of RE3 where by you climb an object and all the zombies can do is spit on you. In fact, in re3 i managed to knife Nemesis to death just by staying on top of an object and knifing him.

5)Another challenge in RE4 & 5 is this time around you have to do the aiming and scoring hits of different parts of the body have different effects for example shooting their legs slow zombies down. RE1-3 auto aim....yeah

6)And the new RE has a shortcut button assigned to it to draw your melee weapon and even the option to reload your pistol without having to go to the inventory screen all the time. I dont know about you but I have to admit Resident Evil DS certainly felt a hell lot better just by adding those two features cause I can easily conserve ammo. Knife, retreat, shoot a little, repeat.

Of course this is my opinion. Yes I too think RE1-3 was good but all Im saying is RE4 & 5 is good as well and in fact the improvements are great compared to whatever it lacks which I have yet to see or become unaware of probably because the improvements outweighs the flaws

Well thats why i said it feel like a House of the dead rip off..... til the day they bring back thsoe good old zombie and "running away and avoiding zombie", i wont touch RE....since i can just goto play House of the Dead....

Plus i dont even think those are zombies in RE5, they are most likely parasite mutant from RE4.

i dont know about you, but Nemesis or any zombie, undead dogs and those crawing thingy never able to lay they hand on me because of the dodging system. Maybe its because i play RE3 so much that i master its dodging system without even trying >.>

IIRC there is a time-attack mode where you gain time everytime you dodge an attack XD

that is part of the fun of playing RE >.>, plus they arent completely unseen, if you pay attention you can hear the moaning or walking sound of the zombie.

I dont call getting hunted down by parasite mutant who can kill you in 1 hit (chain saw), who can throw infinite number of flying axe and out number by 20:1 as challenging.... i call it annoying, and that is also one of the reason the game doesnt feel like RE, because the Zombie never actually hunt you down....except maybe hunter and nemesis, they will appear in group, but never 20:1 and you can run away from them to avoid combat and save ammo.

given the movement control, having a manual aiming system is a bad idea.....unless you can play the game with gun like gun survivor

Definition of zombies are people who have lost all sense of humanity, feelings and intelligence acting somewhat robotic. They are still zombies.

And besides just because a game is flooded with zombies does not necessarily means it is a rip off of house of the dead. It provides more challenge and no body said you cant run away from zombies and neither is it mindless shooting. Maybe that's what you do I don't know. As for me I do not simple waste ammo as I know in RE4 certain parts actually have you conserving ammo as there are none supplied to you until a very long while. So I think it's better as this time I use my wits and environment having rely to shoot them once in the head and going up to them and giving them a round house kick, knifing them, using explosive barrels, climbing ladders to avoid getting swarmed, etc just to survive.

Last time i check zombie is define by "a dead body that has been brought back to life"

ya, you can run away alright, with 20 more chasing after you at your back and 10 more in front of you, hey they even let you push thing to barricade the door and window...and guess what, they cut it wide open.... why even borther.

I dont know you guys but I play(ed) RE series for thriller and some action. I played RE5 in daylight without ear-phones ,nah, felt nothing... Then I closed the curtains ,light and etc... Put some ear-phones and took volume at max... I-Ih nothing again...

My point is if this game was called "Zombie hunt in Africa" it would be awesome ,but after played Re4,3 and Re... I dont think this game is really a RE game... I think the game is good but ,not a RE game.

Sorry but I think RE:DS is more scary than this one...

You can even call someone you know a zombie if for instance they are suffering from insomniac and they are not dead bodies.

Anyway, I dont find any game to me scary actually, probable been desensitised by playing to many video games
