Aren't they PS1 games? I do not believe the DS is powerful enough to play them games.
    However the PSP could.

Actually, Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is basically RE1 with a few added features for the DS. And wasn't it originally released on the PSX? Correct me if I'm wrong.

yeah the graphics would be downgraded but it would be powerful enough to play as RE2 is a game not as good as RE.

RE2 is a 2 disc game, it was ported to the N64 through a what can be described as nothing short of a miracle, I doubt an independent (game developer?) such as yourself would be able to port RE2 or 3 to the DS. For Deadly Silence they pretty much made the characters and creatures from scratch.

2 words that will make this nearly-impossible without the ninja arts of reverse-engineering. Source. Code.

Still, even if you did find qualified people to work on it (tho the chances are rather slim, considering just one person on the mainstream Resident Evil community was able to reverse-engineer the PC version of Resident Evil 2), it would require tremendous amounts of time to do it; the dude who reverse-engineered RE2 on the has been working for years on a total conversion mod, and it ain't even finished yet (tho he pretty much works on it on his spare time only, or so I heard). It would be much easier to just grab a PSP with CFW and emulate the PSX versions of the games.

alright fine. ive tried to see if there will be any more reasponses but there isnt. So...
How about a complety new RE game???
Set during (or just before or After) RE3:Extinction(The movie)(2007) you could take control of a person trying to surive in LA(i picked LA cause it was one of my fav places from the movie)
    Ideas Anyone???

More like a total remake, not downgraded as such (looks better).

No way a edited port would even run.

    ...how about this.

This is what they tell me on homebrew forums when I ask for this stuff.

    I omitted the curse words.

yeah i kinda figured that would be what happens, but it would be a hell of a lot easier if i had a team of people helping me create this game.

you're not the first person to come on here wanting to make a game. People went out of their way to help the previous person and got burned when it turned out he was a liar.

really?? well i guess that would be what happens when people are just having a joke with other people. I would really like to see this made and although i am not the greatest coder or programmer, i would be able to put some input into the game

It was more than a joke.

Let's say the process taken to rat the guy out was...over the top, but entertaining.
