This special mode is like a beginner mode that has like tons of free weapons and such when you make it to the police department, (or any other "Box" in the game, if there are any... i don't know what that is [arrange game], but when you play resident evil there is a difficult level that they ask you for and when you choose the easy mode there is often extra ammo's and health in the storage box.
it may need to be unlocked with a code or something EDIT: Wikipedia says there was a 'rookie' difficulty on the dual shock edition that other versions did not have. Maybe this is what you are referring to? it also says the Japanese version had more powerful weapons. Damn
oh whoops sorry. Anyways, lets just stick to Resi 2 discussion. The Arrange game says "Rookie" when you load... anyways, its REALLY hilarious...
