Some of you don't speak japanese so ^^':

"Thanks! I've received your sentiments. Ruby and Sapphire are very important games to me. I want to make something good. Thanks!!"

This tweet is a bombshell for all the Pokéweb. Indeed, it is the first time that the friend Masuda speaks in such a way on these games. Remakes of the two versions would extend the continuity imposed in recent years, rehabilitation of Ruby and Sapphire (3G) to follow LeafGreen and FireRed (1G) and HeartGold and SoulSilver (2G)?

(The news is taken from a French Pokémon website, so I had to make some translation using Google :/ sorry)

It's possible and would certainly fit into Nintendo's current schema.

Yup. This is mostly the case with one Pokémon Generation

New game => Expansion of the new game => Spin off 1 => Remake of and old generation => Spin off 2

Well, I think Game Freak is stuck in a repeating cycle since they never have every pokemon obtainable in each generation. By that, I mean the only way of obtaining all of 3rd gen pokemon (including events) in the 5th gen would be to grab them from the 3rd gen, migrate them to 4th gen and then transfer them to 5th gen. Even if you use 4th gen events for Jirachi and Deoxys, you'll have to scramble around to catch the rest of the 3rd gen pokemon in random spots on all versions of DPPt, as well as any 3rd gen pokemon in HGSS (mainly the starters), and then transfer ALL of that to 5th gen and use the Dream World and Pokemon White's Forest to catch any remainders. Either way, you'll have to end up using a game from a previous generation to catch everything. The current generation does not have all 640-650 whatever pokemon obtainable between the two versions.

And that's just for 3rd gen! We haven't even touched 1st, 2nd, or 4th gen.

And since 3rd gen is no longer sold in stores, apart from second hand shops, they really have no choice but to re-release these.

Well, they do have a choice, but it would be in their best interest to take this opportunity to make more money.

not bad but the only remake i want to see is with all the regions packed into one massive game and increase the levels of pokemon for 100 to 200 all the gyms and some new pokemon would make this series a winner
