I'm not downloading anything right now and I get this error everytime I try to download any file.

Regular members can only download one file at a time upgrade to premium to bypass this limit.

Last thing I downloaded I stopped and resumed and maybe that messed it up. I've disconnected from the internet, rebooted the computer, logged in and out several times, and still I get this message.

Ok its finally working. Maybe someone fixed it for me or maybe the connection it thought it had finally timed out. Whee.

What happens is your IP is being used by another user.
While this isn't common, it happens and there is not much we can do about it.

If you like downloading, go premium.
As well as bypassing this error, there a faster downloads and no ads. I suggest premium very much.

It seems to me that one solution is merely waiting it out. I gave my computer about ten minutes after it did this to me and it began to function normally again. It is a bit inconvenient, though.

    It should've been fixed already.
I'll notify Seph when he gets back from vacation.

If the connection is severed unexpectedly then the connection can linger a bit afterwards yes, usually no more than 10 minutes or so, but I have seen cases where it took up to an hour before it would reset.

Our connection monitoring had bugged out. I've added a debug version in place and flushed the connection count. It should work again now, please report back immediately if it happens again.

no it doesn't, and it doesn't address the issue.

I just had this issue pop up earlier...probably around 11am. I was using chrome as my browser. The only thing that was different from my previous downloads was that I had recently installed adblock Plus. I closed chrome and opened a new session and still got the same error. After I disabled ADP for this website and and restarted a new chrome session, it was back to normal.

Well there you have it. Don't use ADP on this website

I know.....I was stating what I experienced and what I did to possibly fix it on my end. No one ever mentions what browser they are using, what extensions or plugins they have installed or are running. Just the "it doesn't work, fix it."

I think your experience was a coincidence, I can't see how abp could cause this behaviour.

It's definitely not adblock plus, we do not thread people with adblock any differently from people without. This is a server software issue that we're aware of, it's a new system meant to replace an old one that had this happen as well, but as with everything new it needs to have the edge case issues worked out over time.

  15. Sorry for replying this rather "old" topic, but now I'm experiencing the exact same situation of alarmclok. I've tried all the methods and they didn't work. I've waited for 24 hours already, but it still has not time out yet.

    May someone help me...?

    Different browser?
    Clear cookies/cache?

It still works here so that means it's specific to you and not something global, I will look into our logs later on today to figure out what's wrong. As always with these issues. Changing browser, clearing cookies etc does not matter at all.

  18. Cleared Cookies... Didn't work... I'm using IE8 though...

As I just said, there's absolutely *nothing* you can do at all, it's all on me. Please don't bother trying out stuff.

Do tell me if you happen to use a download manager, though.

  20. Well ya, I used a download manager... but it's not RomUlation though...
That day I was downloading a file, but suddenly the network connection bugged and the download stopped.
Then I couldn't "continue" the download so I cancelled it. Then the error appeared...
