    On my r4 I tried to play it but every time my friend and I went on it, it wouldn't pick up her ds.

    1.17 is the latest version, so you're still a little behind. Update again if you have any more issues.

    Another 'trick' with the DSTT is to simply rename the ROM. Example - A Witchs Tale would not load for me even after I tried reformatting, & had the latest firmware. Renamed it to 'AWT'... works fine. @_@
