    Hi,

Ever since the start of this week I can't access "Program Files" properly. I get always this:

(Runtime error of C++ of explorer.exe)

If I click ok explorer.exe closes and aslo program files.
For the rest my pc is clean.

I updated all my programs, scanned with 9 anti virus.

    Other suggestions?

I Don't know if this would help, but i use an amazing program called "Registry Mechanic" and it's crazy fast, scans your registry and fixes any and all errors or mis-placed lines within a few seconds.
It's a pay program though, but it's damn sure worth it.
The error could be caused by something you installed mucking with the Registry, so i would check this out if i were you.
Either get RM (*cough*anywayyoucan*cough) or find another Registry correcting program from Sourceforge.
Just a guess on my end.

Okay I was able to solve it myself.

It was a shell thingy that caused the problem.

If someone ever has this problem too here is a fix:

    Download this software: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
Then group all non-microsoft programs and disable them all.

After that enable then one by one and meanwhile doing the thing where the error popped up (in this topic opening program files)

When you found the cause program look from which software it is and uninstall the program.
If it isn't from a software delete the file if possible and bye problem!
