Rant about this one kid that hangs with me and my friend.

Alright, this may not be as much as a concern to all of you guys, but it is for me. There is this one kid I know that hangs with me and my friend, not to mention any names, but he does a lot of annoying things and ignorant shit that annoys me to a HUGE level. Well this guy tends to say one thing and then say another thing like for example, in my Graphic Design class, I put up a wallpaper for Deus Ex, then he goes, "Is that some game that only hardcore nerds play?" then I say, "It was pretty popular, won awards and was named game of the year." then he goes, "If it was so POPULAR, then why haven't I played it?" then the next time it comes up, he says he HAS heard of it. He also has a tendency of calling me a faggot or crackhead but eventually says that he is nice to me and does not call me names. He also hates things for the dumbest reasons ever like I brought up Megadeth, and he hates it because they are not death metal and their name has death in it so it SHOULD be death metal. All I can say to that is, WHAT THE HELL!? Any band can have death in their name and be any genre they want. He also said that the Guitar Hero game on the DS sucks because it only has 4 fret buttons, which is a dumb reason in my opinion anyways. He also thinks he is right all the time and knows everything, he CLAIMS to be a metal buff yet he considers Judas Priest Hard Rock, and will just argue on about it like he is right. He also does annoying things such as quote stuff from Family Guy a lot, sing the same song over and over again, and get pissed off at someone for something that is his own fault. I know this is not a good rant but it was something I needed to get off my mind.

If he is laying all of that on you, he must not have very many friends =/

Actually he has quite a bit of friends to be honest, and well this is one of those my other friend somehow gets along with him and I hang with him a lot type of thing so I can't really help it right now.

 

just act indifferent to anything he says as he is most likely looking to annoy you

 

You can try to confront him about his "stupidity". Most of this people just wants to grab the attention of others, creating an identity for themselves. Or you can lead him round the back for some fatal beatings. lol some people just need to have some humility.

Yeah, like 99% of the people around my estate are going to be in prison within the next 10 years - i'm in the one percent i hope...

 

i have to admit that of my social group i'm probably the one they love to hate. i'm not as bad as the unnamed one but i can be quite irritating. BUT you need to realise he's become a part of your group so it may be odd without him (I'm the game geek who gets all the news and such in my social group)
more recently my irritating factor has lessened though as i've hung out with other peeps and have been technically bullied into seeing the error in my ways.

my advice to you would be to force him to hang out with his other friends so he can divide his annoyance and so you can have some time away from him. If that doesn't work, then bully/ignore him until the point where they have become needy and willing to agree to anything for human contact. I however will continue to talk to myself and go insane... (may be why i'm effectively suggesting torture hehehe)
