Hi guys. I currently have Windows Vista Home Premium SP2, and I found out that it needs at least 2GB of RAM, while I only have 1. Anyways, I was wondering, is Desktop Memory the new name for RAM?
no, its an alternative name. 'Memory' almost always refers to ram, unless otherwise specified. desktop means its for a desktop computer. You also need to know which type of ram (SDRAM, DDR SDRAM, DDR2, DDR3 or RDRAM) and what speed.
Thanks. We found one that is the same as what we have (DDR2) but with more RAM. And we have a desktop (Acer Aspire AM1610). Thanks loonylion
