Radiant Historia (ãƒ©ã‚¸ã‚¢ãƒ³ãƒˆãƒ’ã‚¹ãƒˆãƒªã‚¢, Rajianto Hisutoria?) is a role-playing video game developed and published by Atlus for the Nintendo DS. The game's development team mostly consists of Atlus staff who previously worked on Megami Tensei games like Persona 3, Strange Journey and Nocturne as well as the Etrian Odyssey series. The development team also includes other members who had previously worked on Radiata Stories. Yoko Shimomura of Kingdom Hearts fame composed the soundtrack. The game was released on November 3, 2010 in Japan, and will be released in North American on February 22, 2011

Plot :
In the world of Vainguer, a land of man and beasts, the holy nation of the East, Alistel is in a state of war with Granorg, a massive country to the West that is ruled harshly by Queen Protea. Alistel's land is slowly turning to desert while a strange disease is turning its people into sand, known as the "Sandman Disease" (ç ‚äººç—…, suna nin byou?) The ruler of Alicetel, Noah, insists that this worldwide disease is the result of Protea's evil government. The people of Alicetel thus believe they are fighting a holy war against Granorg.

One day, Stock, an agent with the intelligence agency of Alistel and his subordinates are sent into Granorg territory to rescue a secret agent who was captured by the government of Granorg. After saving the agent, the group find themselves surrounded by the Granorg army, and Stock is severely wounded. He awakens in Historia, a world where time and space are warped. There, a group of mysterious children give him the ability to travel through time and space. He is told that the world needs his power.

Gameplay :
The game gives a unique take on the concept of non-linear branching storylines, which it combines with the concepts of time travel and parallel universes, expanding on the Chrono series. Radiant Historia takes it much further by giving players the freedom to travel backwards and forwards through a timeline to alter the course of history, with each of their choices and actions having a major impact on the timeline. The player can return to certain points in history and live through certain events again to make different choices and see different possible outcomes on the timeline.

The player will be using the ability to travel through time and space throughout the game. The player will be changing the past in order to create a â€œproperâ€ future, and the game has the player travel through time and space as the player switches between parallel worlds. The game has many possible parallel endings.

Preliminary cynicism aside, I've read a few reviews and I'm looking forward to this now. I can't be arsed with Dragon Quest VI as I couldn't even get into IX, but this is looking pretty good.

eh i enjoy'ed both 9 and 6 but sadly since i had play'd 6 b4 it went by too fast and now im bored till this is here T_T I love games that bring new & fresh things to the RPG's (or JRPG's whichever u prefer) and from what ive read this one seems promising...i just hope its not going to be too predictable like most rpg's ive played on the DS (you know when u get that GUT feeling somethings going to happen a certain way and it does then ur left with a bad taste in ur mouth? yeah that)

I heard it is good, plus I like the theme (parallel universe and time-travel)

I'm plan on playing this because this game reminds me of Chrono Cross (But I wasn't able to finish it because my disc died on me :<)

I read the article for the pros and cons of a game. Afterwhich I will decide if those features suits me. I read from IGN and I am more than hyped to play this game after seeing many previews and screenshots.

it does look good seen screenshots of it and i like Time traveling,parallel universe in video games and Raven Darkheart said he will dump it later.

Ok guys. Here are the obvious, yet ignored, rules/standards here.

Sharing Forums:
Where you discuss where to get games, links, etc.

Talk Forums:
Where you discuss game play, storylines, etc.

Help Forums:
Where you discuss issues with emulator and flashcart compatibility and things like anti-piracy.

Let's try to keep things in their proper locations. It's annoying when you want to find info about the actual game and see nothing but two pages of people crying about download links or anti-piracy.

The core problem probably lies in the early creation of this thread. What else is there to talk about when the thread is made two to three days in advance? The game had such a limited spread (and still does), not many can even talk about it yet.
