R4i v Acekard 2i - Help

My family have 3 DSIs. One is Ver 1.4A, one is Ver 1.3A and the other is Ver 1.2A. I was about to purchase a R4i card but on reading the boards there is differing opinions as to what works and doesnt. Can someone recommend which cards to get - I read somewhere that the ACekard is also compatible with DS Lites? I was planning on just getting 3 R4i cards all the same - is this wrong now that I see that they are all different versions.

Your help and wisdom is appreciated.

 

My kids had R4 cards and they worked fine - started to play up and wouldnt load every time, one moved on to DSi so decided to upgrade all cards to 8gig - after a lot of looking around bought acekard 2i - these cards are superb work even better than R4 - highly recommended

opted against r4i as heard unreliable - acekard is the way to go imo
