help guys!! Have R4i sdhc v1.4 and has stopped working..... found on R4 site problem is new kernel but have no idea how to find it in firmware to replace it. Also need to find the update kernel Guys really need help, son is autistic and does not understand that its not working and really need speedy help
your a star!! Tell me, i am fed up to the back teeth of these R4 cards needing updating all the time! Do you know of a reliable stable alternative?

No I don't. I'm a gamer and a programmer, but I never use any old firmware -- I make my own, always stable, and when it needs an update, you have the source. There are several kernels. If you got the first link, check if your card has an 1.4 mark. When it has, you download from the left, otherwise from the right. Good luck
Wood V1.05 pretty much sets original R4 on par with Acekard at this point. I can't speak for the multitude of clones, but for original R4, this grants full functionality with many features not present in original R4 firmware, YSMenu, or clone firmwares. Plus, if you can find an actual original R4 (dated back about 2 years for manufacturers date), they are dirt cheap. I picked up mine back in October for $4 with another couple dollars for shipping.
I thought they were asking for a new cart. Disregard that please. Just wait a few days and see if the Wood Firmware will work on the R4i SDHC as it is opensource now.
sorry guys confused........... need to find new kernal for R4i 1.4 but also looking into new cart!! Just downloading from link but it is telling me 5 hrs from USA........ somehow i just got dumped with fake.AV trojan now fixed but have only downloaded from the R4i SDHC site what a bitch of a day!

R4i without yellow mark Hi, I bought this card, and the latest update for it was v1.09d in July 2010, so most new games don't work on it. Is there a way to make them work, what is wood firmware and which one to use with this card.
