R4i SDHC (RTS) w/ Firmware 2.7 fixes Pokemon and Strange journey save

    Hello
    I have updated to 2.7 and pokemon soul silver stopped crashing been playin for past 30min no crash. Also the strange journey saving works now as well.

    Well it finally crashed after 1hr and 30min of playing Pokemon Silver Soul. So i am not sure now if it might have been my DS crash or what but at least it doesnt crash every 24 ins and outs lol

    I hope the firmware works on my R4i-Gold.
    Meh doesn't even load with my flashcart...
    If anyone knows how to make this work with R4i-Gold pm me.

    how to update the r4i SDHC kernel? i tried to copy paste all of the compressed file to my card, but it just doesn't seem to be updated at all. can someone tell me how to do it?

    Well I updated my R4i RTS to 2.7 and yes it helps a lot against the AP. There are no more black screens when entering and exiting buildings but sometimes it freezes at random points of the game... Example: I restarted my game and it froze when I arrived at route 32 (route after Violet City) during a wild battle, then it froze again during Proton's Battle at the Slowpoke well. So to summarize:

    R4i RTS 2.7 Pros:
    *No more black screens at exiting and entering buildings
    *No more event-based freezing or black screen based on badges

    R4i RTS 2.7 Cons:
    *Random freezes during wild battles or trainer battles but they don't occur so often

    UPDATE!!!
    The R4i RTS team created a fixed version of the 2.7 firmware today so I am downloading it to check it out and maybe it will solve the random freezes of Pokemon HG/SS... so I will post if it fixes the random freezes

    It can only be used by R4 SDHC, R4i SDHC and R4i SDHC & RTS created by the r4i rts team... There are many r4 sdhc but only the one created by the rts team can be updated with this firmware

    btw the fixed version doesn't solve all the freezing problems it still freezes randomly
