I've had my R4i for atleast 6months and not one problem to date.

My cousin hooked it up to his wi-fi yesterday, and ever since, when I click the R4 icon, I get the following message:

An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for details.

That's written on a completely black screen.

    I hope someone can help..

Omdz cousins these days...messed up mine aswell :(

Anyway luckily i have the solution for you but my problem is worst....

When your cousin went on Wi Fi (online) he has to update to version 1.4 which stops all R4's i heard there were some fixes but im not sure.

Go on settings and on the bottom-right chech what version it is and tell me please if it is still at V 1.3 then you have the same problem as me :(

If your DS is 1.4 and you don't have a 1.4 compatible R4 you'll need a new card.

R4s CANNOT Update as there is nothing programmed to do it. However some others can just upgrade with the power supplied by the dsi.

Ya, your cousin broke your flashcart :)

If your R4i doesn't have a "v1.4" sign on it, you are stuck. You will have to buy a better flashcart. I recommend the Acekard 2i.

No, the M3 card that is DSi compatible is the M3i Zero (or M3 Zero i).
