R4i Gold Upgrade V 1.4 Mario on box ends up with blank screen

Hello everyone

I'm fairly new here but I think you do an awesome job with this site.

My problem is that I purchased the card mentioned in the subject for my daughter, but no matter what I can't get it to work. I have tried at least 20 different kernel software but it ends the same way. I press the "Star Wars Lethal Alliance Ubisoft" the screens give a small blink and then they are blank.

All suggestions are more than welcome, and I'm willing to try almost anything so she can start playing all the games.
