R4i Gold help

I can't seem to get my R4i Gold to work on my NDSL.... I THINK I have the correct firmware, but I'm not really sure because different sites says that vX.XX is latest, while others says another version.

I would try patching your card.
Click on the link at the top of the page on the Downloads section of r4igold.cn

You are using your card on a DSLite so no need to patch/ugrade your card, just download the latest firmware from the website of your card.

 

I have downloaded the latest firmware but it doesn't seem to be working, all I get is a white screen... is my cart broken or something?

 

Have you another microSD you can try?

 

At the moment I'm using a Sandisk 2GB MicroSD and no, I don't have another MicroSD card. If this cart works, I would like to use YSMenu on it as well.

 

I can see only a few options it could be,

1. format your microSD using the Panasonic SDFormatter

2. you are putting on the incorrect firmware

3. either your microSD or the R4i has had it.

 

ah, I see. Let's hope it isn't the third option.

I have a feeling it's the wrong firmware...

I can't seem to see the pics of your card but if it is a R4igold.CN just go to their website download page and look at the R4-i English v1.44 Date:[2012-5-3] kernel, you will have three county choices. Choose and click USA and you will get a page with bunch of code looking alphabet letters but there is a clickable link mixed in with that gibirish and also with different letters. Just click that link and save the file, hope it works for you. good luck
