hi, all new to this lark, ive just bought a dsi and a r4i gold card V1.4,
ive got a blank micro sd card and need to know how to get it to work.
ive not updated anything on the dsi and ive added certain files to the micro but nothing,
it shows up "star wars lethal alliance" on the dsi
but when i put files onto the micro which i copied from a friends ds lite it comes up "r4i-sdhc.com" "loading" and "fake card! please return to retailer"
    any ideas?? im stuck!

Dose your card look like the one from

    http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/indexe.asp

    ?

Besure to download the right kernal for you card as they are two versions of kernal on the site

You can always format and reformart your microsd card

Look at the left and right kernal pic

    phew! worked a treat :)
many thanks, gotta wrap it up now,
1 more thing, my o/h has a 8gb card in her fone that she will never use up,
if i swap them will it take that size card?
its not like i can try it yet because she'll obviously know what ive got her

    Yes, it should.
It accepts SDHC cards, so it can theoretically go up to 32GB.

But just to let you know, there is a limit to the number of games that can be displayed in a single folder. So if you put a ton of games, they all may not show up. To fix this just split them up into a few folders like A-M and N-Z

cheers, i'll just fill up the 1gb card for now, that might be enough anyway....unless i decide to pinch it ;)
