R4i Advance error

    Hi. I bought an R4i Advance for my 3DS with 3.0.0-6U firmware. I updated the kernel. But I can't boot it on my 3DS. I get an error. "An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the operations manual for details."

    You will need to patch your card. Download the file from your website and then run it on a DS Lite.

    And, your card doesn't support the 3DS 3.0.

    It hasn't been updated in a while by the looks of it.

    No it has been updated on 1st January of this year.http://www.r4i-advance.com/en/down.asp
    And in the main page it says that it supports 3.0.0-6 firmware.

    I'll have to wait for 2 more days to get my hands on a DS Lite. Thanks for the help.

    Summer Babes you will need to go to the website that is printed on your R4i card and download the update file, then run the file on a DS/Lite

    Go here http://r4i-advance.com/en/down.asp and download the English kernel 3.0 and extract it.
    Format your SD card and paste tbe kernel files into it. Put it into a DS Lite and run it. When you reach the main R4 menu press "Start". Then click on "Firmware Update" and wait for it to complete updating. I haven't tried this yet but it should work. And sorry for the late reply.

    Thanks guys I'll try that. I had downloaded that file and put it on sd card but I didnt format card first so i'll try that

    No :( I'm having trouble finding a DS Lite....but I'm sure it will work.

    Format it, insert it into a DS Lite, press "Start" and click on "Firmware update". It won't work if you just format it...
    And tell me if it worked or not :)

    I put the card into a DS Lite and I clicked on "Firmware upgrade". But the upgrade was not successful. I get an error saying ID Mismatch.............
