R4ds Question.

I recently got an R4DS. Around the same time I got it my DS' battery life span seemed to reduce dramatically. Is this because of the R4DS or it because I've had my DS lite for over a year and the battery is just dying? Any help would be appreciated so I know if I need to buy a new battery for my lite. Thanks!

 

I just got my r4 a few weeks ago, and although I play my ds a whole lot more, I haven't seen a decline in the battery life of each charge. The r4 website says that it should take the same amount of energy as original carts, so I'd say you just bought a r4 right as your battery decided to die.
The good news is the r4 doesn't void your warrentee so as long as you haven't modified your ds you can still get another battery for free (if your still within your first year).
If worst comes to worst, its comforting to know that batteries for the ds aren't too expensive.

 

The R4 allows you to go one brightness level higher than you usually can go (the charger level, if i'm correct) So, check to see if you're on that level or not. The extra brightness can be a pretty heavy strain on the batteries

so i was wondering if it is able to watch videos.

i was also wondering if you could play gba roms.

 

Yes you can watch videos, download BatchDPG or any other converter and convert your video file to DPG
