R4DS help

I went to put games on my R4 and it is now protected i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this or what happen

Check your MicroSD adapter for a Lock switch, this sets it to write-protect.

If there is no lock switch, then your MicroSD may have been corrupted. Backup your files and format your card, if you cannot do that, then the card may be corrupted beyond repair.

 

tried keeps saying writ pretected.. not sure how it happen i can still play the current games on it but cant add or erase them

 

I've had this problem before, but what TirithRR said should fix the problem. Are you sure your Micro SD adaptor doesn't have the lock enabled?

 

yeah used 2 different types

used the adapter and the usb one

 

You can try an actual SD formatter.
http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/

If that doesn't work, then the card may be corrupted beyond repair.

 

Just remember, if you format your SD card, everything will be deleted. SO think wisely before deleting anything.

My suggestion is just buying a new SD card, they are VERY cheap these days.

 

Well, since it can still read the files ok, he can just backup all the files there. Then format it.
