whats the big diff, and can the r4 play mario kart or does it not play games created after it was made?

the R4 has regular firmware updates that allow it to play newly released games.

people on other review sites are saying how it cannot play mario kart for NDS

it plays 'em fine, it's just that it wasn't able to play all of nintendo's first party game's download play. However, that's apparently been fixed with the most recent firmware update (i haven't tried to see if it really is or not, but i trust their changelog)

i have the R4, and it plays them all *just fine* if you're updated fireware etc..

The G6 has inbuilt flash memory, and so doesn't use transflash cards as storage like the R4 does. This means that you get a USB disk with it that you can plug the entire card into to transfer files.

also means once it fills up you have to delete stuff rather than just putting a different card in

Though it also means the read/write operations are slightly faster making sure no freezes happen, though that can also be avoided by not buying shit MicroSD.

That's one of the most important things I forgot to mention, it stops some of the games that reportedly have problems when using certain microsds and the R4/M3 playing up.

If you just get a proper MicroSD card then you won't have any problems with freezes.

Kingston or Sandisk are meant to be the best. Sandisk supposedly has slightly faster transfer speeds.

Yeah only certain games on certain low quality cards screw up I think. And I'm not sure it's even been proven or if its just chance when you're using a crappy card.

resuming, which one s the best?

Depends which one you prefer really. Both have ups and downs. Generally more people would go with the R4.

Personally if I were you I'd look at getting the CycloDS Evolution

You can't say which one is best, they have various differences that you'll have to compare. Read this topic again, list the differences and decide what you like best, personally I'm a sucker for the R4. Not that I have one...

i would say go with either r4 or m3 just because they update often to solve problems when they show up in newer games

i'll probably buy a nds and the r4ds plus a 2gb microSD card.
