r4 ysmenu

can someone give me an easy to use tutorial for getting ysmenu r4?

 

Step by step tutorial.

 

Here's an already compiled YSMenu.

I just compiled it this morning with the latest versions. Just extract the contents and put them in the root of your card.

 

Ehm im new to all of this stuff and which place is meant by root?

 

The root is the first page you open on your microSD card!

 

so, its the same placemy roms ect?
when i first open my r4 card there are this files
_system_; moonshl; TTmenu; "the roms"

So i just have to copy the ysmenu there and it will work? or do i have to do something else?

I'm really sorry if i am annoying, but i just want to play these games

Yes that is the root of your card!, where thouse files are!

You can also make a new folder for your games and call the folder what you like!

 

but i have the R4SDHC and the guid says it doesn't work for it so i can't have ysmenu?

 

It may or may not, They are so many R4SDHC cards many people have problems with them, You could give it a try and if it dose not work format your card and start again with your original kernal, Be sure you have your games on your PC as backup!

You could also try making one with your firmware!, You will need your firmware with ysmenu, Replace _DS_MSHL.nds for your one!

 

does the compiled YSmenu also workfor R4i , it works for my original R4 but a friend of mine wants to know if it also works for R4i.

K, I have an R4i SDHC - (came from a green box?), I made a YSmenu - YSauto, and it seems to have a DLDI problem, will your pre-made work on it? OH, and um, someone, either from here or another site said that R4 copies, like the SDHC's are more like DSTT's, so theres a specific thing yo u have to do. He said sum technical stuff, so I didnt really get it =( -pls, i really wanted YSmenu, since its usually upgraded more oft.
