R4 with microSD

Hi
im totally new with DS lite, jus got it today.
I've got a R4 with 1g microSD on hand.

Is it suppose to be a drag and drop for the rom to be playable?
Or do i need firmware upgrade for the R4? If so, how to?

1 just drag and drop
2 go to r4ds.com and download the E1.11 ( most of Eng is 1.10, find out yours at your R4 disc)
3 simply follow the instruction on their website
4 go to google,
search "usrcheat.dat",
lots of new cheat upload daily.
5 be patient, and read more.

 

btw, my R4 dont come with a disc.

and, it's still the same error.

hey chewit..i normally don't do this.. but if you didn't get a disk with your R4 then you got scammed.

i just send the files you need to your gmail.

wtf, by default the r4 comes with a disk and microSD reader(USB), f it hasn't then the shop has committed a crime.

 

same here i didnt get a cd can anyone send it to me, thanks in advance

 

they probably stopped including the cd as it costs them money when they would prefer you to just download the updates online. they're all bastards XD

 

u don't need the cd the stuff on it is so old theres no point loading what is on it.

this is the page with the english version also if u look the user manual is there but u don't need it just listen to me its easy.

1. first off format ur card. its always best to start with a formated card even if it says its pre formated.
2.then go to the site i just gave u and download
3.then extract the folder from the .rar
4.look in that folder and what u have should read like this

_system_
moonshl
_DS_MENU.DAT
_DS_MSHL.nds

5. now just copy and past this on to ur card so now ur card should look exactly like the folder u just copied it from
6. putting ur games on. now u can just drag and drop ur .nds files on to the card or u can make a folder and put them in the please don't forget to extract them after downloading them so u are just moving a .nds file to ur card.

Thats the basic way of just getting it going hope it helps.

Yeah i read somewhere ( noted on a site that sells them ) that the R4 s no longer come with a cd.

 

Actually im getting the moonshell error also, it doesn't really affect anything but it is really annoying sometimes. i've tried reinstalling the files many times and still nothing so i just sayed screw it and left it the way it was but yeah.

 

try a different version of moonshell

 

Chewit you were looking in the media menu. The exact same thing happens to me on my r4s moonshell menu but it still works. You need to go to the first menu.
