    Is there a difference?

I have an R4 and I recently found the new site for downloading its firmware
I downloaded the latest and it did not run (the R4 got stuck on the loading screen, not the one for a game but the one for the card itself)
I noticed that my R4 used a .sys file
The new files however had a .ini instead
    Something I should know?

yes they are different carts made by different people and use different firmwares.

Then is there a place that I can find updates for the regular R4 DS?

no, R4 has no updates past 1.18. It is retired and no longer supported.

    Update R4 SDHC v1.25 kernel 2008-12-10

"The R4 DS Revolution only supports up to 2GB MicroSD cards, while the R4 DS SDHC supports up to 32GB MicroSD cards." (r4ds.us)

So if you want to shell out a few more bucks, you can get a bigger memory stick. I found that 32G was too expensive, so the 8G was fine by me. But I already filled that up and I might go for the 16G now.

probably the card isn't compatible with the game or it needs new firmware.

    Hi,

I am new to this site. Could someone point me to where I can read up on getting a R4 or R4 SDHC card for my daughters new DS Lite.

I am a total novice so any help will be gladly appreciated.

    Thanks

I have a R4SDHC and if I go above 4 gigs the entire thing messes up (I have a 8 gig card)
