R4 upgrade Revolution card Can't get it to work

Hi,

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else but I am new to all this.

I bought an R4 Upgrde Revolution and 8GB micro sd hc card. However when I have copied on the "control" files I get a small message with a red X in it making it look like the card is incompatible with a DS Lite.

Can anyone shed any light on what I should be looking for or doing differently?

Any help much appreciated.

could you post a pciture of what the card looks like?, since some R4 cards are incopatible with SDHC cards, my N5 runs fine a 4GB, but dunno about your R4

The micro SD card shows :-

Have you downloaded the correct kernal for your microsd chip, and extracted the files from rar onto your microsd chip

If you need to format, click right on microsd chip letter drive and format will be on the list, as it might need formatting in fat32

Try one of each, from left and right kernal, you can always reformat

I've tried a few different ones. The errors are sometimes different e.g the screen just says LOADING and doesn't get any further, It gets further but shows a small graphic that looks like the 8gb card is not compatible.

Suports upto 32gb, I don't think its your micro SDHC chip

Loading freeze is down to the rong kernal used, all kernals for all cards hear http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/

Got it. It was, as suggested a wrong kernel.
