r4 to aceKard 2i

I'm due a delivery of my new Acekard 2i for my DSI XL, 'm currently using an R4.
Being as they boyh save in Raw format, can I simply re-name my R4 saves from gamename.nds to gamename.nds.sav
I don't wantto use theonline save converter, as I have interet where I pay by the Mb

 

The default save format for AKAIO 1.5.1 is .sav just like the R4.

 

You wont need to convert anything. Just drag and drop games/save files and it'll work. I did this when I got my ak2i to replace my r4.

 

Make sure you keep your saves on your computer just in case the saves don't work properly.

 

And, your .SAV files will only work if you use AKAIO, if you use the official firmware the you will need to name the .NDS.SAV.

 

thanks guys, that helps. I'll probably user AKIO 1.5.1 as it seems this is generally "better" than the official firmware. Could anyone post a link to a reliable place to download the lastest software for the AceKard 2i.
