R4 SDHC - V1.34 - R4_Pandora.nds?

Hi All,
OK, I have figured out how to get it all working, but still slightly confused
Have been happilly plodding along on my old R4SDHC, but I have never managed to figure out how or what teh Patch.NDS file was, and never needed it
Now I find something labelled R4_Pandora.NDS in the newest Kernel version (V1.34 from http://www.r4sdhc.com/down.asp)
If i run it from the games menu, it does 'something' and all my game icons have chinese/japanese characters when I scroll through teh game list, but nothing else seems to change.

Help/ What is it for??

 

I think it is a tool. Try running one AP game with it. I'm gonna download the kernel too, to see what happens.

Did you also notice that there is an R4 DLDI file (or something like r4dldi.dat) in the kernel?

 

I did, but I have never really played with the odds and sods other than loading games to my card and pressing play
If anyone wants to give me a crash course on what does what, I would appreciate it!!

 

The r4dldi.dat file must DLDI patch the files.
The pandora file is a sort of YSmenu.
The Moonshl2 directory is Moonshell 2. _DS_MSHL.nds is needed.
The _system_ folder is the kernel.

YSmenu fixes some games like Mario & Luigi Bowsers Inside Story. It is an unofficial firmware.
It's actually DSTT firmware on your R4.

DLDI patching... Yeah, good question... I think it modify's the files in the game and gets some data in it so it works on your card...

 

Did Sonic classic worked on r4sdhc 1.34 because i have 1.32 and i don't want to upgrade if it doesn't work
