R4 SDHC Skins Help

ive just formatted my daughters micro sd loaded new kernal 1.32 on it & changed all 12 of the skins on it for one's she like, put a couple of games on it then put the sd card in the r4 sdhc card to test it & the games were working & i could load all of the 12 skins i put on there ok.
then i loaded all the rest of her games on the card filling it up to 6.2 gb (its a 8gb card), loaded it back in the r4 card & when i switch it on i only get a blank screen with 3 boxes (game/multi media & boot slot 2) but no skins. (games are working fine though)
Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong please.
