I have recently bought the R4 card for my ds lite.
I downloaded a few games from here and played for a while.
I switched off my ds and left it for a while (after saving)
I then came back to it later and the following was there

save data has been corrupted and will be erased

Can anyone tell me why this keeps happening with pretty much all my games? And how this can be fixed?
I have reformatted the micro card a few times and put the firmware on and it still has not solved the saving issues.

Here are all the details of what I have
    R4- SDHC, Christmas Version Limited
    Micro SD- 4GB kingston.- Formatted to a fat32 64k.
    DS - Lite

Thank you for any help given.
    Helen

Im not sure about this but it sounds odd, How do you save your game?

If they is a save feture manuly, mabe you should not use it...

but let the game save it's self, I mean save in game

Over possable it could be the wrong type of firmware you could be using

I am using the firmware/ software that was recommded. It is the official Christmas edition one and it has only been out for the past 2 weeks. I downloaded it from. http://www.r4isdhc.com/ As this is what was on my card.

I have let it save itself and I have saved it myself also. And both times I get this message, So I dont think it is how I am saving but could be the ds or r4 itself..or I might be missing something somewhere.

I am currently playing on Professor layton Curious Village. This is the one I am using to try and solve the issue.

See if formating your microsd card in fat might help, and not fat32

It dose sound strange if your card is not saving proper

Mabe you would be better of with a original R4 for about £10 with the new DSTT v1.17a12 firmware!

Unless you are using a DSI

Not using a DSI only a ds Lite.

This thread follow the guide complelety,
when u get to the opition of what numbe 1,2,3,4 go for 4.
Now then make sure to download the firmware from the website as well and put everything on ur R4 chip.
Then when u first load ur ds (will take a lil bit but not long) go straight for the ysmenu.nds then it will save the data (by pressinga)
then play ur game thru this.
:D IT WORKS SAVES AND DOESNT CORRUPT

I'd just like to say that I too have the exact same DSLite, I have the same 4gb xmas edition SDHC, and am having the exact same problem using the prof. layton games downloaded from this website.
Ive been in touch with the place i bought the card, and they've tried to help and offered numerous solutions but nothing works. i still get the same error message.
I noticed the reply by Zankrep on this post, and followed the link....however (i dont know if im just a bit stupid) but none of that info on there makes any sense to me at all. it just looks so complicated. does anyone have an easier way of doing this??
