R4 Screws up after playing Castlevania - Order of Ecclesia

    So does this happen to anyone else asides from myself?

    This is basically what happened, I downloaded a ROM. It loads good, the ROM Castlevania - Order of Ecclesia (U) loads fine and plays fine. After a reset on my DS, it suddely screws up the R4. I fixed it by reinstalling the 1.18 kernel simplified chinese version from the r4ds.cn site.

    Yeah, but whenever I load Castlevania, the same problem occurs.

    What happens when the R4 gets screwed is...Uhm, when the R4 finishes booting, there are 3 selections right? Then a hazy line appears on the top and bottom screen and when I select games, it won't show the list etc.

    So does this happen to anyone else?

    can you try a different microSD card?

    I could, but I really doubt it's the SD card's problem since other games work really well...

    try it anyway, eliminating potential causes is always a good thing.

    Woah, it actually worked o.o...

    But, I don't get the reasoning behind that...That means I need to buy another SD card...

    But, then, are there real and fake SD cards? Which should I buy next time?

    Both of the SD cards I used to test are Kingston 2gb ones btw.

    neither are fake. You can try reformatting your first one, if that doesnt work it might be wearing out. Sandisk and Kingston cards are the best for flashcarts

    I see...Thanks for the advice.
    I guess it might have been caused my me not safetly removing the memory.

    I will try reformatting thanks again :)

    i played the game start to end with no problems and even played a few wifi battles you memory stick might need a format
