R4 Question

Does anyone know what types of "multimedia" and "ebooks" that you can put on the R4?

as far as file extensions and such....I tried a .lit file, but that did not work.

Well, basically, to make it easier to run multimedia, get hombrew programs like Moonshell (music player) or ComicbookDS (the name says it all..)

I would provide you with the link... If I could remember them. So, just google them and you should see instant results.

 

Well for Mp3s... mp3s, ogg (i think), mp4, wma all work...

Video, you gotta use Moonshell's DPG encoder. R4 only reads dpg files. :-*

It's kinda amazing at the wealth of stuff you can do with the R4!

 

A great video converter for the R4 is BatchDPG. I recently started using it and have had great results. I noticed it won't convert .mov files but I've got it to work with .avi and .mpg

P.S. Moonshell is what boots when you select media (middle) icon. I've learned a lot just reading up about it.

to those who have used batch dpg. how do u get it to work, i've downloaded every different version and downloaded and installed all the things it says it needs and i've done it on both my laptop and comp and still can't get it to work and the most anoying thing is i'm no noob, i rule at sorting stuff out on my comp. also i can't find any forums talking about my prob.
so if any one could help on this subject eg dummies step by step guide and some links where i can get a good version that would be mega apreciated.

to those who don't know, if u like mutimedia, homebrew and emulators u want a slot 2. m3 lite would float your bout as it has an inbuit movie player so u don't need to convert ur files and it has great compatability with old roms and if u already got the r4 u don't need to but the passkey for it
