R4 Problem

I have had my r4 for about 2 years and it's worked fine until now. When i turn it on, it freezes when it says Loading... and does nothing. Then, when i plug the r4 into my computer, it won't pop up and if i go to my computer and manually click it, it still won't load, it says please insert a disc into drive f. Can someone help me? It is the original r4ds and it is not fake.

 

Sounds like your MicroSD has failed.
Your computer won't recognize it, and your R4 won't recognize it.

Luckily the R4 can only use SD cards, so you can only use 2GB cards. And 2GB cards are fairly cheap these days.

 

Oh ok i see.. Do you know a site where i could order a new r4 or sd card? My r4 is starting to break too.

 

Youd be better with Acekard2i from DealExtreme

 

Well idk anything about Acekard stuff. Is it better than R4? and what makes it better?

yes!! it is the real acekard 2i!! just got mine today and works like a charm!

i'm not sure if it'll work with an 8 gb card, but i know for sure that it works with a 4 gb micro sd card!!

Tirith is the chappie for advice on the Acekard(I think its 32gb),hes probably missed this thread cos hes so much to do.I notice your after a card from Amazon,did Dealetreme not do them,or are they more expensive...

 

I couldn't find one on dealextreme that looked like a sd card And i think it's cheaper from amazon

 

I dont think DE does them,I couldnt find them either.Ive ordered a couple of Acekard2i's,so hopefully theyre as good as everyone is saying they are.
