R4 problem

    Please help! I am completely new to this and I think I've accidently wiped my R4 card. When I try to load the R4 on my DS it jusst shows a black screen with "couldn't find_DS_MENU&.DAT". The card was working but I couldn't download any games onto it so I reformatted the card and downloaded the firmware again and extracted it onto the card using WinRAR. When I load the card onto my PC it shows all the appropriate files but I can't open anything. Please help

    Make sure you are using the correct Firmware and the latest version.

    There are many cards named "R4"

    The card says R4 Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS). I've tried downloading a couple of versions but it still wont work. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

    Is it popssible that somehow _DS_MENU&.DAT ended up on the card but not in the root?

    It's possible, if he chose "Extract to *Folder Name*" rather than "Extract here" that it put it in a folder on the card.

    Try reformatting the card again. I had to reformat one a couple of times to get it to work even though I was putting the correct r4 firmware on it.

    Needs to be on the root yes.
