r4 problem just happened a few minutes ago. very strange

my ds works fine all the time. but today it was a bit odd because after i continued to play kingdom hearts 358 it froze up on me at a boss fight. it never happened before on this game or any other game.

problem is that now it gets stuck on the loading screen again when i restart the ds. when i try to put it on the computer nothing pops up showing i inserted the usb with the r4 into the usb port. so i manually check it on my computer icon and it ses that it needs to be formatted. if i format it, it ses it will erase all files on the removable F drive. i dont have a copy of all of my saved files so what should i do? was it the rain that caused the problem? it rained pretty hard here in New York for about half an hour but i moved the ds into my bookbag after i got a bit soggy. thing is that it didnt get that much water on it and i doubt the r4 got wet.

is there anything i can do?
