Excuse my english. Hey everyone Im really in a jam here. A friend of mine gave me his flashcart because his firmware sucks and he hasnt been able to play new games on it. Problem is, we live in Nicaragua, its soooo hard to get hands on flashcarts so hes pretty much stuck with that one. It pretty much looks like this.. http://www.pickds.com/images/R4i-Pro%20Gold%20Revolution%20for%20DS%20SDHC%20%28NDSI%20NDSL%20NDS%29.jpg The actual cart label is the same, is gold and shiny, but the box says R4 sdhc v1.5 but a little lower says R4i-sdhc Upgrade Revolution for DS (wtf?? contradictions) and the website name below says www.R4-ii.com I KNOW ITS A CLONE but i dont think its a r4 gold something.. cause it doesnt say it.. but can someone help with... 1) giving me the actual name of the card? because i really am lost. website may help. www.R4-ii.com 2) because i dont know the name of the flashcart, i have not been able to install any other menu for it. im stuck on it 1.41 firmware that is on its website, and does not have good support. ive tried ysmenu, ttmenu and wood r4 and nothing. help! 3) idk, any other info for getting any other good menu for it? Also, MY flashcart is a r4i-sdhc (from www.r4i-sdhc.com) and is a lot better then the other one, has good update support and almost 100% compatibility, but out of curiousity, the only other menu ive gotten to work on it is ttmenu. ysmenu and wood r4 didnt work for me. does anyone have this flashcart while using any of these two menus? Anyways thx in advance ive been stuck with that flashcart for over a week now. Plz any help would be appreciated.
bump.. anyone? sorry 2x post. been trying akaio for clones, all i get is a white screen after loading screen. any ideas
Did you try both 'Wood R4 for R4iDS Gold' and 'Wood R4 for R4iDSN'? http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=39701 also try using the .NDS files to load the firmware, sometimes it works that way. If it both doesnt work, use YSMenu unofficial v1.17a12 with latest updates!
hey coolkill3er. yup. i did all that. -wood r4 does not load at all. wood aio loads, but none of the .nds files load roms afterwards. -ysmenu gives me all the time unsupported dldi name error message (i have tried various versions) -ttmenu stays on white screen, and on lower left portion of lower screen a rotating square-like icon appears, as if loading, but stays there. -akaio 1.5.1 MOD loads, but white screens on bootup of any rom. Can u identify That flashcart tho? Or tell me what clone it is? So i can do something else? menu files include _SYSTEM_ (folder) MOONSHL (folder) _DS_MSHL.nds _DS_MENU.dat _DS_MENU.cfg? i think. its cfg. or a .bat file. idk.
It looks like it could possibly be a clone of R4i Gold (A clone of a clone), so that definitely can not be good... hmm.. i appreciate it bro. but i dont think online ordering applies here. Really, Nicaragua is pretty much in communist issues, so that type of stuff is hard to order/overall-tryto do. But yourre right. Its a clone of a clone. I know; bcuz it feels really cheap in my hand, but in the end, here, i bought it for 47.50 $ American, and i dont think ill be going to toronto anytime soon, so im try to exceed to the fullest what i have in my hands right now.
