R4 Help needed

I downloaded the latest software for me R4 v1.11 kernel, copied and pasted it to me microchip no probs, had 12 games on there old and new but when i went into the directory there were none there, any help would be greatfully received

 

...It's difficult to say for sure with the bit of information you've given, but...it's quite possible that you deleted them by accident when you copied the files over...

 

^probly the case, reformat your card and add the firmware first then the games

Did you unRAR them?

 

^ oh yes very important, sorry I always forget to tell people to extract first, sometimes thats the only problem

 

lol... i bet he has went and deleted them and all he had to do was extract them

 

Wish it was that simple no i downloaded the latest r4 software version 1.11, WIN RARed it then copied and pasted onto r4, but when i copied and pasted the games they show up on me pc as copied over but when i turn on the r4 they aint there av tried it again but same thing happens any other ideas chaps

 

try to format the microSD... if you have already done that, check if the files are .nds files... if they do, then probably there's a problem with the microSD card... if it still has the warranty, then trade for another one...

 

ive already tried reformattin but it doent make any difference, ive ad me r4 about 8 months, its worked fine i was on r4 1.05 its only started playing up since the newer games wouldnt play and i downloaded the latest software r4 1.11 kernel

 

try to install the 1.05 firmware, then...

 

av done that but then none of the newer games work

 

....Check ALL of the folders on the MicroSD. It's possible that the ROMs are getting added into one of the folders for some reason. If that doesn't work, try redownloading the v1.11 software from the official website (NOT from a secondhand source!).

If all else fails...you're stuck.

 

It's still better to get it first-hand, though. At least that way you can be completely certain that the file is correct.

 

If none of the above works id consider taking my R4 or SD back.

 

it's the only solution, dude...
