R4 from kernel V1.18 to V1.26

I want to update my R4 (NDSL/NDS) from V1.18 to V1.26. When i follow the instructions from this site: http://www.ndslr4.com/soft/33-en.htm
the screen will freeze :'( on the loading screen. What must i do to get the newest version? ???

 

If you're using v1.18, that means you're using an official original R4. The firmware from the site you posted, is a clone of the R4, so the firmware won't work on your card.

The R4 is a dead card now, so there will be no more firmware updates for it, so you're stuck with v1.18 unfortunately.

Best bet would be to invest in a new card which is still active. =/

This is where I got my R4 SDHC and acekard 2i from.

 

how do i know which i need to buy? Because it seems like the same that i already bought...Where can i check which versions these R4 cards can use?

 

my advice is to get an acekard 2i which works on ds, ds lite or dsi.
