R4 error

Unable to use games i have downloaded, get error unable to read data?? any ideas?

 

Format your SD card. Flashcard has no access to the SD card.

Use Panasonic Formatter.

the card i have is a NDSL/NDS will that link you gave me work?

 

It is for the SD card.

Micro SD instructions:
- If 4 GB or higher, it is SDHC
- If 1 or 2 GB, it is SD
Highest capaticy: 32 GB

Also i have games on my R4 that work but new downloads dont work, will formatting remove games already downloaded?

 

Yes. Formatting COMPLETELY empty's the card.
You should make an backup of your old games that work before formatting.
Backup = copying files to the computer

Get the latest firmware for your card, format the SD card (after backing up) and copy all files you want back.

No joy, inserted my formatted sd card into R4 and DS after copying back all the relevant files
Error is now couldnt find Ds Menu.dat?

 

you're gonna have to redownload the firmware from

I have the disk i got with the R4 would that work?

 

If the firmware is on it, yes.

Copy the firmware to the ROOT of your SD card.
Then it must work

Nothing will work cant even get the R4 display when inserted.. i have tried everything. :'(

Blow at the contacts.
Blow in the DS card slot.

 

no good, all the original files system etc from my sd card i copied everything to my pc then copied it all back so it should have worked..

Get fresh firmware.
(Fresh = new copy)

 

ok that file is downloading , what next?

 

Delete the old firmware.
_DS_MENU.dat
_DS_MENU.ini
_DS_MENU.sys
_system_
^Delete that.
(if I am wrong, I use an R4 SDHC, so sorry if this is not the same)
Now, wait until the download has finished, then unpack it in the ROOT.

 

ahh the silly internet has said it wont download now ....i give up
