R4 card...just pluged it in and it came up "this card is fake" on the ds screen

any idea as its been running ok for weeks and then just done this,it has been freezing up a bit on loading sometimes aswell...is it the firmware which has done this or a game which i have loaded onto the card....thanks in advance...john

 

Make sure you have the correct firmware for your card.

 

^He would of if it had been working for a week/s. What do you mean, did it actually display the "fake" message? You haven't mentioned it in your post, but you did say it was freezing.

If so, backup and reformat your MicroSD.

 

^ Well, I thought that he meant his screen actually said "This Card Is Fake". But I've never heard of that before in any of these threads, so I thought maybe he had loaded a new firmware, and maybe chose the wrong one.

 

yeah...the card has been working for weeks ok.....then started freezing about a week ago....pluged in last night and the "this card is fake!!!!" message came up on the bottom screen

 

i downloaded it...its a newer HC card

 

Reinstall the firmware correct for your R4 card (if it's a different kind) from http://www.linfoxdomain.com/ds/.
