R4 and Ben 10 alien force

I've an official R4 using V1.18 - after downloading ben10 alien force i cannot get this game to work with the card - is there anything else i should be doing

you will probably have to patch the game

 

use FW 1.23 can be upgrade and really work

 

Use DSLazy to patch it like GTA on DS. BTW, screw Alien Force- get Ben 10 protector of earth for DS

I believe it's for the original R4. Not the clones. It's a revived team releasing new firmwares for it. Probably related to the M3 team acquiring the R4.

 

yea its for my son - he has protector of earth and wants alien force as well - you know what young lads r like lol.

i've read conflicting reports about this - i wonder if anyone can say for sure - if after having tested it - whether the FW1.23 works ok with the official R4 ds card (not the clones)

Judging from the replies in the thread I linked to, yes and no. It boots and all, but some have complained about its actual quality. Supposedly, it's slower than 1.18 and less reliable. I haven't bothered trying it myself, though, so whether or not you decide to use it is your call.

 

They should work regardless, since the original firmware was decrypted.

 

Apparently, that 1.23 firmware was based off an open-source firmware by a third party, rather than built off existing R4 firmware.

 

Backup all that is on your card then try updating to newest firmaware at-

Way to read the thread. The TC said he has an official R4 with firmware v1.18, which IS the newest official version.
