R4 3DS update confirmation steps needed

    Ok so my brother has a 3ds in 1.0.0

    He has the R4 3ds (the red box)

    on r4i sdhc it says that 2.0 and 2.1 is compatible

    all tutorials tells you to run that .nds file wich update things

    I did that and the flashcard went from Nemo to Chessmaster 3D

    The console is still V1.0.0 though

    Does that mean I'm ok to update trough the normal process or what? with nintendo udpate safely?

    Is it the right way?

    Yes, congratulations, when you see the Chessmaster 3D pic, means you have updated your R4i sdhc 3DS card to V2.1.0-3.....then just feel free to update your 3DS console to the V2.0.0 or 2.1.0 and then use your R4i sdhc card ..... Everything is right ...

    It is not explicitly said that you can update the 3DS after that and I wasn't sure
