Hi all I have a R4 card (v1.4). I am running a v1.18 firmware but looking to upgrade so my kids can play Lego Lord of the Rings and other newer titles like Hotel Transylvania ... can anyone suggest which firmware I should use please? Thanks Scottio
There are so many 'R4' on the market. Each differ in many ways. Your info isn't sufficient for us to know which one is yours, unless you state the full name/wordings as shown on the R4's sticker (an image of the product would be helpful). However, do look at the compatibility provided in the list in this topic : http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=43121.0. If your cart is listed there, then back up your SD Micro content to your pc, format the SD Micro, return the backed up files to the SD Micro (but still keep a back up in your PC), and add the appropriate folder provided as per suggested in the compatibility list. Run YSMENU.nds/TTMENU.nds (depending on which one your cart should use as per mentioned in the .txt) before loading the 'gamerom.nds'.
