Because of the dubble game files the PS3 would not know what to read. That is the reason why. Am I correct loonyloin?

If you're burning them as ISOs and playing them via an emulator on your PC, then you just select which ISO you want and play it.

They must be burned as a data disc though or else this won't work.

No. Ignoring the fact that PS3s cannot read burned discs, the image must be burned as an image, and it is not physically possible to burn multiple images to a single disc unless its burned as file data, which consoles would not be able to do anything with

Okie so i have now extracted the contents of my downloaded games via winRAR, so now do i just burn all of the files to discs (one disc per game), or is there something else which needs to be done before hand?

first. (most of the people commit this error :p ) how many times you descompresed the files.

You know exactly what is an .iso file?

    after that...

yeah one disc per game, and you use imgburn for that http://www.imgburn.com/

you download and install imgburn (use google, its free) and run it. On the main screen, chose 'burn image to disc' and then choose the image file. Burn at no higher than 4x on reputable media (TDK/Verbatim are widely used).

and make sure you burn it to DVD-R, not DVD-RW(or CD-R)

    im burning them to DVD-R

@super_pastafari32-to be honest, no. All of the different file types confuse me...

so do you just burn the image file to the disc and forget about the other files?

its just that some of the image files seem a little lacking in size (MB)

    Ok then...

.img, .iso, .bin, .cue etc, etc, etc al these are CD images. As you can see they have the file sise aprox to a disc (700mb) or in case of dvd isos (aprox. 4gb)

These are no more than a simply "virtual CD". (that how i call they that don't mean that is their real definition :p )

This time i soupose you're trying to burn ps1 cd images no? Well you will need normal CD-R, ok? (no DVD-R, no CD-RW) and you will need imgburn. PLUS: "Burn at no higher than 4x on reputable media (TDK/Verbatim are widely used)."

NOTE: when you PC don't recognises .iso, .img, .bin, etc. files. WinRAR would ofer you the option of "descompres file" you maybe think "WTF? i already descompres the file and then apears another winrar file?" that is because the first was the rar file the second was the .iso image.
so don't descompres the second .rar file that apears after extracting the first, because the secon is the one we need to burn in a cd with imgburn

the small files like .cue are control data, they contain instructions for your burning software.

yeah sorry I miss that part...
the big files are the "real isos" (i tell you that i case of you want to play they on an emulator in the future)

so what you are trying to say is to burn the biggest files as image files via imgburn onto a blank CD NOT DVD? and yes i am gathering that they are ps1 cd images.

Sorry about all of this, but i've never done it before.

If you're going to play them on your PS2, you can't play them unless you have a mod-chip.

    Do you have one?

If you don't, you can't play the PSX games through swap discs either.

Ihave a doubt about the process you follow... do you have instaled imgbun already? (once you got it instaled it will recognize the iso files... i belive) if you already got that the just burn the ".iso" file (or the biggest file... whatever)
    ;D

i do have imgburn already super_p, otherwise i would have been spending my time downloading that instead of bothering you dudes :) (since it seems that only males have attepmted to come to the rescue and give hope to the hopeless- ie me) lolz.

so now time to steal, i mean, buy...BUY some blank CD-R's

and as for the mod-chip (the thing that i think reads copyed things-AGAIN with the hopelessness) my ps2 plays copy CDs if thats any indication as the whether or not i have one.
