Questions Regarding Netbooks

I've been looking into getting a netbook when school rolls around to do fairly simple tasks. This is the netbook I've mainly set my sights on:

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9370272&type=product&id=1218093001788

I presume it is fairly good since the only things I will be using it for are typing papers and surfing the internet with a couple small programs running here and there. My only concern however, is that the CPU runs at 1.2 Ghz. I was wondering, would this pose a problem for the work I have in mind? Or will it not be any problem since the netbook is fairly small?

I figure I'd have 2-3 word documents, 3 internet pages/tabs, and maybe 1 program like powerpoint, opened at the same time, at most. If anyone can answer these questions it would be greatly appreciated and if anyone finds anything else that could potentially pose a problem with this netbook, please let me know.

From what I recall of my old 800MHz P3, that should be fine.

1.2Ghz is way overkill for that.

I've seen some with up to 1.6 Ghz but the RAM and hard drive space are much lower. When you say overkill, do you mean that in a good way?

Overkill is never a bad thing.

Overkill can be a bad thing. What I meant was it will handle that very easily. The amount of ram is probably more important for what you are asking.

1.2 GHZ is more than enough for a few word documents and powerpoint... even the 700mhz I have can handle it with no issue...
