ok, recently i decided to join facebook and i was needing a few questions answered about it, so here is a few of the questions: 1. when adding someone to a game you play on there, shouldn't they show up on the neighbors list when they sent a request for it to you ?? 2. has the past 24-48 hours, has anyone else had an issue with facebook running to slow speeds were the pages won't even load??
They'll show up as your neighbor once they have accepted your request (the same goes the other way), but sometimes there can be error and the person's name become temporarily missing. Also those added as neighbor are your FB friends that can see your FB wall posts. Non-friends can be added to your pal list, but they will never be able to see your wall posts. As for the past 48 hours? No connection problem at all for FB. If your loading is slow it could be because of your internet temporary file cache is full or cookie error, try deleting them from your Internet Option. Also make sure you have the latest flashplayer for the games. But also can be caused by your connection being temporarily unstable or peak hour.
hmmm.... well, i mean i've had 7 requests on farmville for neighbors but none of them has shown up for the temp. files/cookies/cache in mozilla, i have it set to delete automatically everytime i exit out of the page
Maybe because those whom you ask to add you as their neighbor have not accepted you. That's why they have not show up. Maybe you can also try 're-invite' them. I had such issue before. Also I had once experience my neighbor list missing, it will show up again in a day or two, normally due to technical reason. The game provider is not under one roof as the FB. So their server is different location and handled by different support team.
umm... i got the Friend requests, i didn't send them >__> but yeah like right now for me, im having to wait to login and stuff to update, so im thinking it might be on their end, since all my other pages will load within a few seconds of each other o__O
A tip: Make sure you set your options to only show personal info to friends...It's set to public by default.(Includes name, Bday, address, etc....)
I didn't mean anything about them adding you...I mean unless you change the settings, anyone in the WORLD can know EVERYTHING about you. (It was on the news a week ago)
Its has been running so its more likely to your end. Every so often chat is a piece of crap but other than that its fine.
Chat is a badly coded piece of dirt that was moist before they implemented it. If they had Pop-Up chat things would be okay.
Or it might be that there is a shit ton of people on facebook always wanting to chat and it to be perfect and when it stops working for 10 minutes everybody thinks it something essential and life will stop.
well, i just don't care about that XD a couple of friends were starting to get under my skin about facebook, so i decide to join and then it starts acting weird, so that is why i asked here
And Twitter. I think it's great, but Twitter is useless to me. Facebook is great though. Still, I like having a Windows Live account (for file storage) and it acts as a social network. Now if only they developed a download client for facebook chat.
ok, sorry to bring my old topic from the grave but having some major issues again with facebook, it keeps telling me the connection was reset while loading, so anyone else having this issue also??
If you're using a router, or even if your modem's connection is sporadic, it may very well be connection issues. A virus might be a issue as well. : Do other pages load correctly? : Is your modem fuctioning correctly? : Have you ran a dependable anti-virus scanner? (Avast/ AVG/ Shield Pro) Those three will help you narrow it down. It might be on their end too(Server lag/ overflow) You have to try and narrow it down on your end, to be one step closer to a solution.
I think Pidgin acts as a Facebook and various other chat clients. And there is a way to put the chat in your sidebar, not that anyone would like that.
