question with xbox 360

    is it possible to hack an xbox 360?i just buy one. :)

    Yes, but it involves flashing the DVD drive's firmware.
    You also risk being banned from Xbox Live. If Microsoft detects that your console has been tampered with (usually security sectors on the game discs that are not copied correctly or playing games before their release date) they will ban your 360 by a hardware ID, so that 360 will never be able to connect to Xbox Live again.

    I have never done it, but the basics are disconnecting the DVD drive from your 360, connecting it to your PC, flashing the drive firmware, then reconnecting it to your 360. There is likely a bit more to it than that, including a special firmware flash to the drive that you need to get.

    The 360 games have protection on them, and depending on the method of the hacking newer games may not be usable without updating the hack.
