why do they call the boards inside a board, "Child Boards"? the reason i'm wondering is so i can have an easy way to explain to my dad this isn't a child porn site =O
LMAO...a mod should delete that before my dad comes and see's that...he is NOT smart in ANY way T_T and get flamed like there is no end?
Bring your dad to visit the RomU homepage. Tell him that this is a rom download website. Then find the forum button and clicked it. Your dad should know that this is a RomU Forum with absolutely no porn ;D Show him the rules that say keep the forum Pg-13 ;D
ugh.... he doesn't understand much at all...i show him the rules, he'll sit there for an hour reading them -.-"
Then it call for drastic measures. Go find a real child porn site and ask him to compare that site with this site ;D Trust me It will work ;D
I'm amazed that no one has actually answered the question yet... Our rules state that the forum must remain largely PG-13 so obviously we will not have porn, and especially not with children. A child board is called as such because it's a child of another board. There are various levels, if you go to the root that will be all the root level boards, a child board is then simply a board that belongs to one of these boards. Another word would be a sub-board or a sub-section.
In local forums I frequent who either uses lame vBulletin or IPB (Invision Power Boards), they do refer to a child board as a sub-forum.
